Automate employee provisioning
How to auto-create accounts when employees join, suspend them when they leave, and audit it all in the provisioning logs.
Once an integration is connected, its Settings tab automates the account lifecycle. Settings save as you change them.
How do I turn on auto-provisioning?
- Open the connected app and go to Settings → Provisioning.
- Toggle auto-provisioning on.
- Choose when provisioning starts — as soon as the employee is created in ZenAdmin, or on their start date.
- Choose when the invite with password goes out — when provisioned, or never (if you deliver credentials another way).
How do I turn on auto de-provisioning?
Under Settings → De-provisioning, toggle it on. The method is suspend and retain data — the account is disabled but its data stays, so nothing is lost when someone leaves.
How do I check what actually happened?
Settings → Logs (available for Google and Microsoft) lists every provisioning event — employee, action, timestamp and success/error status — searchable, so you can verify a specific joiner's account really was created.
