Work Through My Tasks
Filter, sort and update the tasks assigned to you in the ZenAdmin console, and use the task details drawer to comment and track activity.
Tools → Tasks & Approvals opens on the My tasks tab — every task currently assigned to you, grouped into sections. The subheader tells you how many tasks you have; hover over the count to see the pending/completed split.
How do I find the right task?
- Search by task title or description from the search box in the header.
- Filter pills: Pending (the default — To do, In progress and Blocked), Completed, or All tasks.
- Sort by Due date or Start date, ascending or descending.
Checklist tasks (generated by onboarding/offboarding checklists) and regular tasks appear in their own groups, each an expandable section.
How do I update a task?
On My tasks you control exactly one thing: the status. Hover over the status chip on a task row and pick To do, In progress, Blocked or Done. Titles, dates and assignees are set by whoever created the task — if something's wrong, comment on the task or ask the reporter.
What's in the task details drawer?
Click Details on any task row:
- Basic Info — assignee, reporter, start date (shown as Trigger Date for checklist tasks), due date, the description, and an activity log of every change.
- Comments — a threaded discussion on the task (regular tasks only). Write rich-text comments with attachments, Reply to start a thread, react with emoji, and use the ⋯ menu on your own comments to Edit or Delete them.
You can also change the status from the drawer header.
When everything's clear you'll see Everything seems perfect — no tasks or approvals need your attention.
