Assign policies to devices
How to associate or disassociate MDM configuration policies with a device — one at a time or in bulk.
Policies are your provider's configuration profiles — what a device must enforce to stay compliant. A device's compliance status reflects the policies associated with it.
How do I assign a policy to one device?
- Open the device from Mobile Device Management → Devices.
- In the Associated policy card, click Manage Policy.
- In the List of Policy tab, select the policies to add and click Associate.
How do I remove a policy?
In the same drawer, switch to the Associated Policy tab, select the policies to remove, and click Disassociate.
How do I assign a policy to many devices?
From the device list, select multiple devices with the checkboxes and click Associate — choose the policy once and it applies to every selected device.
Policy management is available where your MDM provider supports it. Policies themselves are created in the provider — for example, Hexnode policies are authored in your Hexnode account and then associated here.
