Workflows turn your repetitive processes into flowcharts that run themselves. A workflow starts from a trigger — an employee joining, an employee exiting, or a form being submitted — and then walks through the steps you've drawn: conditions, delays, emails, tasks, approvals, and actions in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and your MDM.

Workflow statuses

Status	Meaning
Incomplete	Created, but the flow hasn't been built yet.
Draft	Built and saved, not running.
Active	Live — the trigger fires it.
Inactive	Deactivated; kept but not running.
