Create a workflow
How to create a workflow in ZenAdmin — naming, categories and tags, run notifications, and the difference between Save draft and Save & Activate.
Steps
- Open Workflows and click Add new workflow.
- In the create modal, give it a name (say, "Onboarding flow"), pick at least one category, and add tags if you use them.
- Optionally enable Send email notification and choose recipients — they're emailed when the workflow triggers.
- Click Next — the workflow is saved as Incomplete and the visual builder opens.
- Build the flow (see Build the flow), then finish with either:
- Save draft — keeps your work without running anything, or
- Save & Activate — the workflow goes live immediately.
Managing workflows from the list
Each row's menu offers Activate/Deactivate (with confirmation), Edit Workflow (the canvas), Edit Workflow Details (the modal fields), Duplicate (creates a "- copy" to iterate on safely), and Delete. The list shows each workflow's status, last trigger date and creator — searchable and filterable like every ZenAdmin table.
