Workflow actions
The built-in workflow steps in ZenAdmin — automated emails with personalization, tasks, approval chains, app provisioning and forms.
These are the Modules steps — the core things a workflow can do.
Send a notification (email)
Compose an email with To/Cc/Bcc, a subject, attachments, and a rich body with personalization variables — the employee's name, work email, start date, last working date, department and more fill in per run. Notifications are email today; other channels are on the roadmap.
Create a task
Assign a task to someone — assignee, reporter, title and description (variables work here too) and a due date. Enable wait till task is done to hold the workflow until the task is completed — perfect for "ship the laptop before the welcome email says it's coming."
Get approval
Insert an approval chain around a form: one or more levels, each with its approvers and a quorum — all must approve or a minimum of N. Control what each approver sees per field (edit / view / hidden), require a comment, and let email reminders chase them.
Provision or de-provision apps
Grant or revoke SaaS access as a step — either a fixed app list, or from a form (the apps someone ticked on a request form). Pairs naturally with the join/exit triggers.
Fill out a form / change status
Fill out a form sends a form to someone as a task to complete; Change employee status updates the person's lifecycle status as part of the flow.
