View and edit a device's details
How to open a device's detail page, edit its specifications, change its asset tag and manage device photos.
Every device has a detail page with its full record — specs, finance, logistics, repair history and activity.
What's on the device detail page?
The header shows the model, asset tag (copyable), status, serial number, location and who it's allocated to — with a link to that employee. Below, tabs cover:
- Product — specifications and additional info, plus the device photo collection.
- Finance — cost, procurement type, payment details.
- Logistics — shipping and logistics records.
- Repair — repair history.
- Activity — the audit log of everything that happened to the device.
- Allocation History — every employee who has had it.
- Email Logs — notifications sent about it.
How do I edit specifications or details?
- Open the device and go to the Product tab.
- Use Edit on the Specification or Additional Info sections — each opens an edit drawer.
How do I change the asset tag?
Choose Edit asset tag from the device's actions menu (available from the inventory list row menu too), enter the new tag, and save.
